Steps of installing Windows 8 OS in Google CR48 laptops and notebooks

Google launched its operating system - Google CR48 for notebooks and laptops with the aim to promote software products and to compete with its competitors like Microsoft and Apple. Google CR48 notebook’s compatibility with other products is also very high. You can even install Linux Ubuntu and Windows operating system in Google CR 48 laptops. When we talk about Windows versions then chrome books support Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems but installing Windows 8 is quite complex process because it requires configuration of certain advanced settings. As full version of Windows 8 has not been released publically but Windows 8 developer preview can be installed in CR48 laptops.
You can easily download Windows 8 developer preview for free in Chrome 48 laptops. Just perform a verification action by hacking yourlaptops resources for your own sake. The Chrome storage capacity and battery life is not impressive and it needs to be improved. Here are the configuration settings and steps which need to be followed before installing Windows 8 OS in your system.

Control and hack BIOS settings
You need to hack your BIOS at your own risk in such a manner that your chrome laptop should remain unaffected. This is most difficult process to execute because hacking BIOS requires you to open CR48 laptop by removing its 12 screws and then wrapping a piece of electronic tape over the BIOS contact point to disable protection activity. Once you have gone through above settings then remove boot loader settings by hitting F1 and change boot order sequence and other booting parameters.
It is not an easy process and before making any change, ensures that chrome book should remain unaffected.
Flashing new BIOS
After completing above steps, follow steps for flashing new BIOS. Once you have done flashing then Windows 8 is ready to be installed in Chrome environment using USB flash drive or using external CD-ROM drive. One problem which occurs during Windows 8 installation is to refuse theWindows 8 ISO file and this can be handled using Windows USB/DVD download tool. This tool is used in a virtual environment and I guess that this virtual environment will be Linux. So, run the software using dd command in command line.
After this, further installation is easy and only step is to boot USB drive and execute installation instructions. The booting speed of Windows 8 OS is very high in comparison with Google Cr48 as it loads Windows 8 OS in 12 seconds.
